Board of Directors/Committee Chairs

The THSADA Association Office serves as the operational headquarters of the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association, providing year-round leadership, professional development, advocacy, and member services for nearly 2,000 athletic administrators across the State of Texas. The office ensures the Association fulfills its mission while maintaining continuity, consistency, and strategic direction for all THSADA programs and initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

Association Leadership & Governance

• Direct the day-to-day operations of the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association.
• Ensure all Association activities comply with the THSADA Constitution, By-Laws, and Board policies.
• Administer and coordinate three annual Board of Directors meetings.
• Coordinate the work of the Board of Directors, committee chairs, regional directors, and advisory groups.
• Oversee all THSADA programs, initiatives, and strategic priorities.

Member Services

• Manage THSADA membership, serving approximately 2,000 athletic administrators annually.
• Administer the annual membership cycle (July 1–June 30).
• Provide daily support and customer service to members across the state.
• Maintain regular communication through the THSADA eNews, newsletters, website, and other member communications.

Professional Education

• Develop and administer the Texas Athletic Administrators Certification (TAAC) program.
• Oversee the QUAD A (Aspiring Athletic Administrators Academy) leadership program.
• Direct the JHAMS (Junior High Athletic Management Series) professional development curriculum.
• Develop educational content and recruit presenters for all THSADA professional development programs.

Conferences & Special Events

• Plan and manage the annual THSADA State Conference, one of the largest athletic administrators conferences in the nation.
• Coordinate State Conference registration, logistics, exhibitors, sponsorships, and educational programming.
• Organize the annual Fall Forum and Spring Sponsor Showcase.
• Coordinate the PBK–THSADA Hall of Honor Banquet and other Association recognition events.

Advocacy & Strategic Partnerships

• Serve as the official representative of the THSADA with the UIL and other educational organizations.
• Work collaboratively with the UIL, THSCA, TGCA, and other statewide partners on initiatives impacting Texas interscholastic athletics.
• Represent the interests of Texas athletic administrators regarding policy development, leadership initiatives, and statewide programs.

Sponsorship & Business Development

• Develop and manage corporate sponsorships and strategic partnerships.
• Foster relationships with industry partners that enhance member services while generating non-dues revenue to support Association programs.

Communications & Technology

• Develop and maintain the THSADA website (thsada.com).
• Coordinate all digital communications, publications, and member information systems.
• Ensure members receive timely information regarding professional development, legislation, events, and Association initiatives.

Regional & Committee Support

• Work closely with Regional Directors to ensure consistent implementation of THSADA programs and policies throughout Texas.
• Coordinate the activities and initiatives of all THSADA committees.
• Provide leadership and administrative support to regional meetings and statewide committee projects.

The THSADA Association Office functions as the central leadership and administrative hub for athletic administration in Texas. Through professional education, advocacy, event management, governance, communications, and strategic partnerships, the office provides the infrastructure that allows over 2,000 athletic administrators to better serve the more than one million student-athletes participating in Texas interscholastic athletics each year.
